I'm excited to introduce a new interactive feature to The Liminal Gallery: slide puzzles! Every artwork in the collection—over 5,000 images—now has its own puzzle you can solve right in your browser.
On the homepage, you'll find today's featured puzzle. Each day brings a new artwork to discover and solve. The daily puzzle changes automatically at midnight, giving you a fresh challenge every single day. It's a great way to start your morning coffee or take a creative break during the day.
Every artwork page now includes a puzzle option. Just scroll down to any piece in the gallery and you'll find a "Play Puzzle" button. Whether you're browsing paintings, drawings, or digital art, you can turn any image into an interactive slide puzzle.
The puzzles are built right into the browser—no downloads, no apps, just click and play. Slide the tiles around to reconstruct the artwork, using that one empty space to maneuver pieces into position. You can click tiles adjacent to the empty space to slide them, work at your own pace, and solve puzzles on desktop or mobile.
Each puzzle uses the actual artwork, so as you solve it, you're actively engaging with the colors, composition, and details of the piece. It's a different way to appreciate art—more interactive, more hands-on, more engaging than passive viewing.
